Posted: November 12, 2012 in Uncategorized

The theme of the festival this year is MOBILITY.

The festival will be from March 31- April 7th

We have almost finalized the list of films for the festival. These are the films we know will be part of the festival:

1) 5 Broken Cameras – a “first-hand account of non-violent resistance in Bil’in, a West Bank village threatened by encroaching Israeli settlements. Shot almost entirely by Palestinian farmer Emad Burnat, who bought his first camera in 2005 to record the birth of his youngest son”

2) Gaza: Tunnels to Nowhere – “Gaza: Tunnels to Nowhere takes viewers into the highly secret tunnels through which necessary goods are smuggled between Gaza and Egypt, and also into the homes and lives of the tunnel workers, and their families.”

3) Doors to the Sea – This film explores “the experience of Gaza’s fishers under siege, confronted by Israeli warships, sharp restrictions on their areas for fishing, and the political, military and economic siege on Gaza.”

4) Kingdom of Women: Ein El Hilweh – “After the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, Ein El Hilweh refugee camp was destroyed and its men imprisoned. “The Kingdom of Women” documents the community and organizing spirit of the women during this period.”

Check in again soon about the festival schedule and to see trailers of the films.
